Some animals are not well-shaped to become kids' toys. Something about, say, beetles and eagles just isn't right for conversion into children's items. The silhouettes are too complicated, or too regular, or too...something. Giraffes and elephants, though, and pigs, illustrate the kind of animal-outline whimsy that kids are often drawn to.
